Leo Bersani quotation
In nature, as in social history, identities spill over. We exist, in both time and space, in a vast network of near-sameness, a network characterized by relations of inaccurate replication. Accurate replication--the perfect identity of terms--is an attempted human correction of these correspondences, a fantasy of specularity in the place of correspondence. To recognize universal homo-ness can allay the terror of difference, which generally gives rise to a hopeless dream of eliminating difference entirely.

Wiki?
Reading notes wiki
This is an experiment I'm not even close to sure will work. But it seems interesting. I'm going to try to mix in wiki functions with this blog as I create an online notes log of some books I'm working through.
The real test will be whether making notes this way is any more helpful than keeping them somewhere locally or in Evernote. Also, the idea behind storing them publicly is that maybe they'll be helpful to somebody else.
Here are the books on my desk:
Web Component Development with Zope 3 by Philipp von Weitershausen ISBN 978-3-540-76447-2
Programming Web Services with XML-RPC[+] by St. Laurent, Johnston and Dumbill ISBN 978-0-596-00119-3
Parables of the Virtual[+] by Brian Massumi ISBN 978-0-822-32897-1
The Fold[+] by Gilles Deleuze ISBN 978-0-816-61601-5

rss not working...
I've been digging around trying to figure out why my outbound syndication isn't working. Looks like QuillEnabledRemoteBlogging isn't serving up this blog's rss.xml or atom.xml page correctly.
There seems to be a workaround-- but it requires turning off the remote editing capabilities. I can check out subversion repositories for the core functions of the the blog, but there seem to be intertwined version dependencies with the remote blogging module that I can't get sorted out.
I'll post to the dev list and maybe go the workaround route...
